If you are a resident of Kingston or the surrounding area and planning a business trip or vacation, your cherished pet may be unable to accompany you. Fortunately, you can rest easy with the knowledge that your dog is safe at Martha's Menagerie, even if you will only be away for a weekend. Martha's Menagerie will gladly accommodate your dog’s needs and should you be planning a an extended trip we will be more than pleased to take care of your pet.
At Martha's Menagerie we believe that all dogs should be properly exercised and socialized. We are very proud about the time that dogs get to spend together and how we can moderate the exercise provided to suit each dog needs. As not all dogs are comfortable in a crate we provide a crate free social environment which allows the dogs to be together all the time whether in an outdoor area of 90 feet by 50 feet, walking in the back 10 acres 4 times a day either on or off lead or in the finished basement when a good sleep or rest is required.
Crates can be provided by the owner if required, as we are not against crate training, and we want each dog to be as comfortable as possible. Comfort of the dog is very important to us and the dogs much prefer having the company of other dogs which makes them much happier and much less stressed. The exercise also helps them to settle into the environment as they are tired and therefore can relax that much more. More than one client refers to our services as a “Doggie Camp”
To help each dog adjust to the new environment we ask that you provide food for your pet and bring along bedding, unwashed, that will make them be as comfortable as possible. It does help our furry friends to get a whiff of home now and then! We are also more than happy to attend to special needs by administering medications, be they antibiotics, for pain, to help mobility, for arthritis or other aging conditions. Ultimately, Martha's Menagerie is the superior choice for discriminating pet owners in the Napanee area. While you are away, you can rest easy with the knowledge that your dog is well cared for. Who knows? At Martha's Menagerie, your pets may think they are the ones on vacation!
