Welcome to the Martha’s Menagerie website. We are a social kennel, read on for further explanation, and located in Harrowsmith, Ontario which is situated 15 minutes north of Kingston, Ontario.

Martha’s Menagerie offers Dog and Cat Boarding. Our primary goal is to make your best friend(s) comfortable. Martha’s Menagerie strives to create an atmosphere that reduces the stress on all our clients, both human and animal alike.

Our Dog Boarding facility is not a typical kennel. It is situated in a home in the country where there are no runs but instead a large penned area where the dogs are all together and able to play with each other or relax whatever they wish. Socialization is one of Martha’s Menagerie’s main goals as our canine companions are social animals and require company for them to feel happy and healthy.

Martha’s Menagerie does not discriminate, there are no breed restrictions, and we welcome all breeds and crosses, large or small. For the safety of your canine companion(s) we have certain requirements for all our clients: Your dog must be either spayed or neutered, shots must be up to date, including kennel cough, paper copies signed by your veterinarian, and he/she must be social with other dogs. It is a requisite that each new client visits with their dog to ensure that their canine companion is social with other dogs. This procedure takes approximately 20 minutes and ensures the safety of all boarders.

At Martha’s Menagerie your cats are lovingly cared for in our home where each feline family has a room to themselves with a chair or bed to lounge on and a window for viewing the outside. Once settled the cat(s) have a comfortable room where they can frolic, play or relax as they wish.

Our grooming room is quiet and clean and is also geared to reduce stress on your pet and make them feel more comfortable, whether your dog is in for a brushing; removing mats, undercoat and burrs, or in for a shave and/or a bath.
